Sandra and Uldis were very lucky. Their wedding was planned one day after Auckland borders opened from 4 months Covid lockdown. It was a little escape for all of us: fresh air, some morning rain, helicopter flight up in the mountains. This Queenstown elopement took my breath away: as a part of the ceremony bride and groom were singing a song together on the top of the mountain. It can't get more romantic than this.

Carefree wild elopement wedding in Castle Hill near Arthur’s Pass National Park. This amazing rocky scenery is only 1 hour and 20 minutes drive from Christchurch. Great place to have a picnic and run away from everyday routine.

The ceremony was held at the Wedding Registry Office in a beautiful glass house covered in green plants. After the ceremony, they rode through the town on a bike, which was a wonderfully, quirky thing to do on a wedding day.
